Royal Mail – Vote YES or management speaks for you

DEAR MEMBERS,

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TREMENDOUS SUPPORT IN THE FIRST BALLOT
AND SUBSEQUENT STRIKE ACTION.

You have brought Royal Mail Group back to the table, forcing them to deliver
concessions around compulsory redundancies, pay and some allowances, as well
as moving on issues over flexibility, use of technology and a strategy to expand
the role of postal workers.

But all this is nowhere near enough. Royal Mail Group have not abandoned their
damaging proposals for the future of your jobs and the public services you provide.
Their actions in the workplace demonstrate they cannot be trusted.

Royal Mail Group’s tactic is to demoralise you, divide us and impact on your mental
health. This is why they are continuing to impose change locally – they want you
to think their plans are inevitable and your vote is not important. Nothing could be further from the truth. We all know their approach will lead to complete chaos in every workplace across the country.

The only way forward is to deliver an agreement that truly aligns the interests of the
workforce, customers and the company. This can only be achieved by returning a
massive Yes vote and turnout in the forthcoming ballot.

We all have two jobs to do now:

  1. VOTE YES when the ballot paper lands at your home address
  2. Encourage every single colleague in your offi ce to do the same
WIN THE BALLOT, WIN THE DISPUTE.

    Solidarity,

    Dave Ward
    General Secretary

    Andy Furey
    Acting Deputy General Secretary (Postal)
