Fundraiser in aid of Comic Relief 2019

What a pavlova of a day!

CWU NITB South Section Rep Ashlee Chadwick recently held a fundraiser in aid of Comic Relief 2019 in the Portadown BT call centre. Ashlee donated his day off to hold the event and made his legendary pavlova, not just one but three, all with the help of his son Ashton who is 10!

Ashlee ran a small coffee morning where there were some sweet treats, tea, coffee and of course some pavlova. He was joined by Gerry Robertson Telecoms & Financial Services Field Organiser who was on hand to speak to members and encouraging recruitment alongside the coffee morning with the new CWU pink hats going down a storm. There was also the chance to buy raffle tickets with the winners announced on Red Nose Day.

“Comic relief has always been close to my heart and has had a personal impact on my life in the support they have been able to provide me, I’m more than happy to give back and help raise funds for those who are in need and the fantastic projects and people that comic relief support. I’m not much of a comedian and wasn’t going to do anything funny for money, it was my son Ashton who said Dad why don’t you make some pavlova to sell.” Said Ashlee. The total amount raised was £100.54p absolutely fantastic!! Well done to all in Portadown!!
