The CWU have been pursuing removal of the probationery period from BT contracts, so we were pleased to hear this week that the probationary period for new and existing contracts will no longer be enforced within BT Consumer.

Manpower agency staff who are being offered the opportunity to apply for a BT contract will be among the first to benefit from this change.
